John Wrenn's passion for pottery began in 1968 when he began his study of clay at the University of Wisconsin- Stevens Point. Today he draws from his experience with clay to design and create decorative ceramic art. John creates a style of pottery called "Raku". Raku is a Japanese word meaning "enjoyment" dating back to the 16th century. The art form embodies the word in both creative and aesthetic value. The spontaneity of the American-style Raku process allows for the combination of fire, clay, and air.
